Karoshi Dreams is a narrative horror game that explores the dangers of overworking in front of a screen for extended hours. As exhaustion sets in, the player begins to drift off into a dreamlike state, where strange and unsettling events unfold, blurring the line between reality and nightmare.
This is my second project created for a Game Jam, once again developed over the course of five days by a team of five people. The game was built using Unity, and for this project, we challenged ourselves to create all the game assets from scratch. Every piece of artwork featured in the game, from character models to environment assets, was crafted entirely by our team.
For this project, I took the opportunity to explore the artistic side of game development. My role focused on designing the game’s visual elements and integrating them into the Unity engine. This included creating character designs, environments, and UI components, as well as ensuring they were properly implemented in the game engine. Karoshi Dreams was a challenging yet rewarding project that allowed me to expand my skills as both a game developer and a visual designer.
